The Miracle Tree
The Moringa Tree (also known as the Miracle Tree) is a highly nutritious tree, from which almost every part of the plant is useful and beneficial for our health. In fact, it is so useful and so high in nutrients that it is being touted as the New Superfood.
Moringa is used as a food in many countries, to combat malnutrition in third-world countries, and even to help patients with AIDS. It has long been used as a traditional medicine throughout the world.
Our Moringa product is made into the form of a powder, which can be added to any food or made into a drink.

A pound should last you 4-6 weeks with regular use. You can also add to smoothies and blended drinks for extra nutrition. Some even put in salads, soups and stews.
Benefits and Uses of Moringa
Moringa as a Food Source
In India the immature green pods, called "drumsticks", are prepared and used similar to green beans. They taste similar to asparagus. The mature seeds can also be removed and eaten like peas or nuts. Even the flower of the tree can be cooked and are considered a delicacy. The roots can be shredded and used as a condiment, but care must be taken in the preparation as they have a potentially fatal nerve-paralyzing agent.
Moringa leaves are highly nutritious and are an excellent source of beta-carotene, Vitamin C, protein, iron and potassium. They can be cooked and used like spinach. It is the leaves that are dried and crushed into a powder which can be used in sauces and soups.
Other nutritional benefits include:
- Good source of calcium and phosphorus
- Seeds used for treating erectile dysfunction and increasing sexual vitality
- Pods and leaves helpful for increasing breast milk in lactating women
- Raises vitamin content in breast milk for the child
Moringa Oil
Moringa also makes an excellent oil, which is clear and odorless and resists rancidity. The oil may also be used as a fertilizer and to purify water.
Moringa for Malnutrition
For obvious reasons pointed out above, Moringa has been used especially for infants and nursing mothers to combat malnutrition. Because it is a fast-growing tree it is being planted in many countries where food sources are scarce. The leaf is full in the dry season, making it even more beneficial when other food runs out.
